A Sectional Center Facility (SCF) - A Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) of the United States Postal Service (USPS) that serves a designated geographical area defined by one or more three-digit ZIP Code prefixes.


  1. A presort level in which all pieces in the bundle or container are addressed for delivery within two or more three-digit ZIP Code prefixes served by the same sectional center facility (SCF).[1]
  2. An abbreviation used on mail container labels that identifies the contents as SCF mail (i.e., the ZIP Codes on the mail are served by the SCF).[1]
